In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, a nightclub owner was fined RM3,000 for operating beyond permitted hours, and a 20-year-old man was fined RM2,000 for possessing unlicensed lottery slips. Both pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court.

Employers fined for hiring, sheltering illegal migrants
The Sessions Court in Kota Kinabalu fined two employers for employing foreign workers without valid travel documents. A man and a woman were also fined for allowing undocumented migrants to remain at their premises. The offences took place in areas around Kota Kinabalu and Keningau.

A travel agency director was fined RM2,000 by the Kota Kinabalu Magistrate's Court for ignoring a Consumer Claims Tribunal order to refund RM14,288.40. In a separate case, two men pleaded not guilty to charges of helping to dispose of stolen property.
