Sivanesan to pay RM3,000 in costs after allowing former Bagan Dalam assemblyman Satees Muniandy's application to transfer the defamation suit to the Butterworth Sessions Court. Forest fire scorches 2.42 hectares at FRIM Bidor, crews resume operation
A forest fire broke out at the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) in Bidor, Perak, yesterday evening, scorching about 2.42 hectares. Firefighters from the Bidor station brought the blaze under control, with only 15 per cent of the area still burning when operations paused at midnight for safety. The operation resumed this morning.

Bus hits PLUS barrier: Driver drowsy due to heart medication - Police
A bus crashed into the central divider of the PLUS highway at KM 328.3 between Bidor and Tapah, Perak. Police said the driver, who was on a journey from Kajang to Kulim without passengers, fell asleep due to the influence of heart medication. The driver was taken to Tapah Hospital for treatment.
