Carolan confident Speedy Tigers can reach 2026 Asian Games final
National hockey coach Brendon Carolan believes his Speedy Tigers squad can reach the final of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and secure a ticket to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. He said the team has shown improvement in its playing pattern and defence over the past two and a half months, and is targeting wins over Pakistan and China to top Group B.

Coach Brendon Carolan named his squad at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Friday after Malaysia finished last among 16 teams at the World Cup in Belgium. Defender Syed Syafiq Syed Cholan was replaced by Che Nur Aqilrullah Che Khairuzi Anwar due to a hamstring injury.
