Fibre cut disrupts Singtel, StarHub and M1 internet services
A fibre connection cut on Tuesday (Sept 15) caused temporary internet disruption for customers of Singtel, StarHub and M1 in Singapore. NetLink Trust said about 1,200 users in Bishan and Thomson may have been affected, and it is working with telcos to restore service.

Burst underground pipe in Bukit Batok disrupts water supply to 3 blocks
A burst underground pipe in Bukit Batok early on Sept 12 temporarily cut water supply to three blocks, including a home and 11 shophouse units. The town council isolated the pipe, restored supply to the home, and installed a temporary surface pipe for commercial units. Repairs are expected to take two to three days.

Data centre boom spills into construction, power and tech supply chain
Malaysia's data centre capacity could reach eight to nine gigawatts by 2030, opening an RM128 billion to RM162 billion market for mechanical and electrical works, analysts say. About 3.8GW is already under construction or backed by signed power agreements, with contractors such as Kerjaya Prospek, Gamuda and IJM Corp among those winning work, including an RM858 million fit-out contract in Iskandar Puteri.
