Why
Three reasons you make more
1Return customers
Retain your regular customers
Regulars are the heart of every kitchen. On a food app they open the app, not your kitchen, and other kitchens and their deals come first. On NearbyPost your regulars keep your own app icon on their phone. One tap opens your menu, with no competitors in between.
2Your margin
No 30% commission
On a food app, about 30% of every delivery order goes to the app. On your own page, nothing does: you keep the full price of your food.
Worked out at 30%, the delivery commission a big food app shows a new single-outlet merchant at sign-up (15% for self pick-up). Chains may pay less.
- Goes to the app as commission
- RM3,000 every month
- Through your own page
- RM0 every month
3New customers
Free customers from nearby
People already come to NearbyPost to read news and posts about their own area. They live and work near you, and everyone needs to eat. When they see food close by, there is a good chance some of them order from you, at no cost to you.
How orders reach you
Two kinds of customers. NearbyPost works for both, and turns new customers into regulars.
Your regulars The core of your kitchen
- 🖨️We give you a QR code, a desk card and a poster. Your existing customers scan it and add your app icon to their phone, in seconds.
- 📲From then on, they just tap your icon on their home screen.
- 🍜Your menu opens. They choose dishes and send the order.
- 💬It arrives on your WhatsApp. You confirm, and they pay you directly.
New customers
- 🔎They find you: local news nearby, a Google search, your QR code or a friend's link.
- 🍜They order from your menu, the same way.
- ↺After their first order, NearbyPost shows them how to add your icon. Now they are a regular.
How
Run your own promotions again
Many kitchens have forgotten this is possible. On a food app, the app sets the deals and you pay for them. On your own page, you decide. For example:
- Spend RM25 or more and get a free drink — people add one more dish to reach it.
- A free drink or side with a set, or a family combo at a better price.
- A first-order treat for new customers, like RM3 off.
NearbyPost takes no commission, so you keep the margin that pays for the promotion — a better deal than you could afford on the big food apps.
You keep App fee Extra for the buyer
Example: RM18 of food, about 30% app commission. Direct, you can give that RM5.40 back as a free drink, a bigger portion or cheaper delivery — and still earn the same RM12.60.

Questions
What about delivery? Do you offer a delivery service?
We don't run riders, and you don't need us to. Your customer gets the food one of three ways, and you choose which ones you offer:
Getting a courier? Copy each field into the pickup details.
And it still costs them less than a food app:
Many will, because it saves them money. On a food app, a meal plus delivery for one person often comes to RM21–RM27, and the app's commission is built into the food price. Ordered direct, there is none.
| Lunch for oneRM15.00 of food | Family dinnerRM40.00 of food | Office lunch or partyRM100.00 of food | |
|---|---|---|---|
| On a food app, with delivery | RM27.43 | RM63.14 | RM148.86 |
| Picked up from you | RM15.00saves RM12.43 | RM40.00saves RM23.14 | RM100.00saves RM48.86 |
| With their own rider (about RM6) | RM21.00saves RM6.43 | RM46.00saves RM17.14 | RM106.00saves RM42.86 |
What the customer pays. Food app = a menu priced to cover the 30% commission, plus a delivery fee of about RM6 (the same as a rider). Small-order and platform fees are left out, so the real gap is often bigger.
Is it really free? What is the catch?
It is free: no commission, no fees, no subscription. NearbyPost never touches your money. Customers pay you directly, so there is nothing for us to take a cut from. So how will NearbyPost earn? Later, from third-party advertising on the site, never from your sales.
Can I stay on other food apps?
Yes. Keep the apps for new customers, and send your regulars to your own page, where there is no commission.
What if I am busy or sold out?
You stay in control. Tick Sold out on any dish and it shows as sold out on your menu. Too busy? Switch the whole kitchen offline with one tap, and back online when you are ready. Your opening hours, days off and public holidays show on your page, so customers know when you are open. And you confirm every order yourself, so nothing is accepted without you.
