A boat driver who died in a fatal accident at Kuala Sungai Mersing had posted a WhatsApp status about accepting fate hours before his death. His sister recounted his final messages and described him as a quiet man skilled in engine repair who also ferried passengers part-time. The accident also killed a passenger and injured four others.
