MMA urges halt to healthcare workforce loss
The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) calls on the government to stop the loss of healthcare workers through stronger, merit-based specialist promotion pathways in Budget 2027. This follows a 57% rise in specialist resignations from 2019 to 2023 and a shortage of nearly 11,000 specialists.
