PETRONAS upstream capital expenditure to recover by fiscal 2027
PETRONAS's upstream capital expenditure is expected to recover by fiscal year 2027, according to Hong Leong Investment Bank. The bank notes that while upstream spending remains strong, a weaker domestic activity mix has limited earnings conversion for Malaysian upstream service players. PETRONAS paid RM8 billion in dividends in the first half of fiscal 2026.
