Court orders clinic to pay RM359,000 to family over botched circumcision

The Sessions Court in Kuala Terengganu ordered Hijraa Healthcare Sdn Bhd to pay over RM359,000 in damages to a 10-year-old boy and his family over a botched circumcision procedure in February 2023. The court found the clinic's doctors negligent, causing severe injury to the boy's penis, and also dismissed the clinic's defamation suit against the mother.
