Ngar practice enhances the value of Pua Kumbu

A Pua Kumbu weaver, Datin Sri Melia Gelen, says the traditional Ngar practice of using natural dyes like mengkudu and tree bark produces higher quality, more valuable textiles. She spoke at the 'Program Ngar 2026' event in Taman Country Height, Kapit, and called for support for weavers facing high costs.
