MBPP seizes three Jalan Macalister premises in crackdown on foreign-run businesses

The Penang Island City Council (MBPP) seized goods and sealed three premises on Jalan Macalister in George Town as part of an enforcement crackdown on businesses operated by foreigners. The action was taken under the Local Government Act 1976, and the council reported 703 enforcement actions against foreign-run businesses between 2022 and 2026.
