Asean haze pact still relevant, says Wan Junaid
Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, a former Malaysian environment minister, says the Asean Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution remains relevant but needs new technology and methods. He recalls Malaysia's past assistance to Indonesia, including offering aircraft and cloud-seeding, and calls for Asean collaboration to extinguish fires in Jambi and Kalimantan.
