Penang steps up heritage building checks after woman injured

The Penang Island City Council (MBPP) has increased inspections of heritage buildings in George Town after a woman was injured by debris from a building on Lebuh China. The council has issued notices to owners and plans to conduct visual inspections of all heritage buildings in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
