Woman found in bag in Sungai Perak was bound before being dumped – Police

Police believe the woman found in a bag in Sungai Perak near Lembah Jetty, Kuala Kangsar, on Aug 14 was bound and had her face covered before being thrown into the river. Perak police chief Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin said the victim's identity is still unknown and forensic results are pending. In a separate matter, he said police will investigate allegations of online gambling at several premises in Taiping.
