JAS: Haze to stay high due to El Nino, API in Serian and Kuching remains hazardous
The Department of Environment (JAS) expects haze pollution in Malaysia to remain high for the next few days due to the El Nino phenomenon. As of 7 pm, the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings in Serian and Kuching, Sarawak remained hazardous, while several other areas in Sarawak recorded very unhealthy readings.
