Penang drew large crowds to its attractions and food spots during the National Day and school holidays. Penang Hill's funicular train recorded 29,200 riders from August 28 to 31, and the Penang State Museum saw thousands of visitors. Popular food outlets and beaches like Batu Ferringhi were also crowded.
