Villagers seek compensation for pollution

The Kampung Monsok Tengah community in Tambunan, Sabah, has filed a compensation claim after construction waste from a bridge project polluted the river, killing thousands of fish including the valuable pelian fish. The tagal committee is demanding a meeting with the contractor to discuss compensation, including customary fines and environmental reparations.
