Tanjung Lompat tragedy: Channel-like formation believed to strengthen currents

A maritime official believes a channel-like formation in the beach terrain at Pantai Tanjung Lompat in Bandar Penawar, Kota Tinggi, may have contributed to strong currents that pulled four teenagers out to sea. Two of the six teenagers were rescued, two were found dead, and search operations continue for the remaining two.
