Indonesian woman jailed for helping dispose of stolen gold ring in Kota Kinabalu
An undocumented Indonesian woman, Liana Bunganden, 48, was sentenced to nine months in jail by the Magistrate's Court in Kota Kinabalu for helping to dispose of a stolen gold ring at First Choice Gold Shop, Centre Point, on Aug 17. She pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 414 of the Penal Code. In a separate case, a man claimed trial for a similar offence involving stolen facial cleanser.
