Group urges regular safety audits of highway structures after NKVE gantry collapse

The Alliance for a Safe Community has called for regular safety audits of structures along highways nationwide after a large structure fell across the NKVE near Shah Alam, blocking all northbound lanes. Chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said the incident should serve as a reminder to responsible parties to inspect and maintain billboards, gantries and other installations to prevent future collapses.
