Sabah assemblyman urges diplomatic action over US-China military buildup near state's waters
Sabah assemblyman Datuk Masiung Banah has called on the federal government to take escalating US-China military activity in the South China Sea seriously, citing concerns for Sabah's security. He highlighted the development of military facilities on Balabac Island in the Philippines, about 50km from Sabah's Banggi Island, and urged diplomatic discussions involving the US, China and the Philippines.
