Ringgit opens at 4.0680/0745 against US dollar, weighed by US producer price data
The ringgit opened slightly lower against the US dollar on Friday at 4.0680/0745, down from Thursday's close of 4.0630/0670. A Bank Muamalat Malaysia chief economist attributed the move to stronger-than-expected US producer price index data for August, which rose 5.4 per cent year-on-year.
