Suhakam: School bullying is a safety issue, not just discipline
Suhakam says bullying in schools must be treated as a safety and wellbeing issue, not merely a disciplinary matter for the Education Ministry and schools. It cites preliminary PISA 2025 findings that 27% of Malaysian students reported being bullied several times a month, compared with 20% in OECD countries, and 5% reported hurtful information about them posted online without consent.
