AirTrunk in talks for S$2bil loan to fund Singapore REIT IPO
AirTrunk, the Blackstone-owned data centre operator, is negotiating with banks for about S$2 billion (US$1.6 billion) to finance a Singapore REIT listing backed by its assets. The loan would help the REIT acquire AirTrunk assets and refinance debt. The IPO is seen as a key test for Asian data centre financing, where banks are becoming more selective.
