Anthropic: Claude used to build voter-targeting system for all 222 Malaysian seats
Anthropic says it shut down a commercial election-manipulation platform aimed mainly at Malaysian voters, built with its Claude AI models and using millions of voter records to profile all 222 parliamentary constituencies. The operation ran about 1,000 fake X accounts, a bogus news site and fabricated intelligence dossiers, and Anthropic links it to Istanbul-based BBS Bilisim Teknolojileri. The company did not say who paid for the Malaysia work or when it ran, and Malaysian authorities have not commented.
