Moody's: AI export boom keeps Southeast Asia growth at 4.8pc despite US tariff risk
Moody's Analytics says Southeast Asia's economy has held up better than expected this year, helped by an AI-driven boom in exports and data centre investment. It projects ASEAN growth easing to 4.8 per cent this year and 4.6 per cent in 2027, with Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam shielded for now by the US semiconductor tariff carve-out.
