Court sets 15 trial days from July 26 for former Armed Forces chief
The Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur has fixed 15 days from July 26 next year for the trial of former Armed Forces chief Tan Sri Mohd Nizam Jaffar, who faces four charges of abuse of position and criminal breach of trust involving RM3 million. The charges relate to alleged bribes and misuse of the Armed Forces Welfare Fund (TKAT) linked to Hari Raya parcel supply contracts in 2024. The court also set Oct 28 for further mention to monitor a representation the defence will submit to the Attorney General's Chambers.
