The abbot of Wat Phra Buddha Sawang in Ayutthaya, Thailand, has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling over 92 million baht in temple funds and having sex with a woman inside the temple. Police raided his quarters on the morning of the 10th; he faces charges including misappropriation of official property, dereliction of duty and money laundering. Netizens noted his outfit when taken to the police station was worth 34,100 baht, including 33,000-baht sandals.
