Anthropic says Houthi group tried to use Claude to build missiles
Anthropic claims a group in northern Yemen, believed to be the Houthis, used its Claude AI to develop guidance, control and navigation systems for ballistic missiles. The company said it detected the unauthorised use, blocked the accounts involved, and that the group's rocket test launches are believed to have failed.
