Health Ministry uses land, water transport after FDS Sarawak suspension
Malaysia's Health Ministry is maximising land and water transport to treat interior Sarawak residents after the temporary suspension of the Flying Doctor Service (FDS). The move covers hard-to-reach areas such as Pa Tik, Ba Itam, Ba Abang and Long Tebangan, with JBPM and ATM support for emergency medical evacuations. The suspension of seven FDS teams covering 85 localities and about 14,830 residents depends on the outcome of an official investigation.
