Ringgit opens higher against US dollar ahead of FOMC meeting
The ringgit opened higher at 4.0630/0730 against the US dollar from Friday's 4.0685/0725, ahead of the US FOMC meeting on Sept 15-16, 2026. A Bank Muamalat chief economist said the Bank of Japan's Sept 18 rate decision and Brent crude near US$107 a barrel are also shaping sentiment. The ringgit is expected to trade between RM4.07 and RM4.08 today.
