Pahang records 16 drowning deaths this year, public urged to be careful

Pahang has recorded 16 drowning deaths so far this year, according to the state Fire and Rescue Department. The public is urged to heed warning signs and be alert to the 'water surge' phenomenon at waterfalls, rapids and rivers. The department also advised against jumping into the water to rescue a drowning victim without rescue skills.
