Former Teluk Sepangar Quarry director claims trial over RM165,000 payment

A former director of Teluk Sepangar Quarry Sdn Bhd has claimed trial at the Sessions Court to a charge under Section 218(1)(c) of the Companies Act 2016 over an alleged RM165,000 payment to Viva Mekar Sdn Bhd, a company where he was also a director. Tan Kian Kok was granted RM7,000 bail with one surety, and the court fixed Sept 21 for mention and document handover. If convicted, he faces up to five years' jail, a fine of up to RM3 million, or both.
