ICU JPM denies viral Entrepreneur Equipment Grant poster, warns of CMA 1998 offence
The Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department has denied that a viral 'Entrepreneur Equipment Grant' poster on WhatsApp is an official government communication. It said the poster was created by an individual without verification and warned that spreading false content may be an offence under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, with fines up to RM500,000 or two years' jail.
