Bintulu Port now under Sarawak jurisdiction from Sept 1

Bintulu Port officially moved under the Sarawak state government's jurisdiction effective 1 September 2026, after previously holding federal port status. Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd told Bursa Malaysia the transition follows the enactment of Acts 858 and 859, with operations continuing under Bintulu Port Sdn Bhd via an interim agreement.
