Singapore hospitals join HEAT-MAP study to track heat illness cases at A&E
A senior consultant at Singapore General Hospital is working with emergency departments at 10 public hospitals on the HEAT-MAP study, which runs until 2028, to record heat-related illness cases more consistently. The Ministry of Health said heat-related A&E cases rose from 280 in 2024 to 398 in 2025, with admissions up from 69 to 81. The data will feed future projections of Singapore's heat risk.
