Ringgit opens higher against US dollar ahead of central bank meetings
The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar on Tuesday at 4.0705/0775, up from Monday's close of 4.0735/0770, as markets waited for the FOMC and Bank of Japan policy decisions. Bank Muamalat chief economist Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said the local currency is expected to trade in a narrow range today, with Brent crude around US$105.68 a barrel.
