Oil climbs past $106 as Saudi pipeline stays offline after attacks

Oil prices rose on Tuesday after attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure knocked the kingdom's East-West pipeline offline, cutting a route that normally carries about 4 per cent of global supply. Brent crude gained 1.18 per cent to $106.93 a barrel while Houthi forces hit the Khamis Mushait airbase and Gulf states postponed talks with Iran. Traders warn a prolonged outage could push prices higher, with Malaysian pump prices and the ringgit exposed to the move.
