Asian shares mixed as oil tops US$100 and bond yields climb before Fed and BOJ meetings
Asian stock markets were mixed on Tuesday as investors weighed Middle East supply risks, with US crude above US$102 a barrel and Brent near US$107. The Federal Reserve begins a two-day meeting with markets pricing a likely rate hike, while the Bank of Japan is expected to raise rates to 1.25 per cent on Friday. Higher oil and bond yields kept caution in place across the region.
