Haze from Indonesia wildfires blankets Singapore, Malaysia
Smoke from wildfires in Indonesia has pushed Singapore's air quality to unhealthy levels across all five regions for the first time since 2019. Malaysia has also been hit, with the National Day speech moved indoors in late August and a state of emergency declared for part of Sarawak. The ASEAN Specialised Meteorological Centre warns the transboundary haze risk will stay escalated.
