Indonesian man gets life, 12 strokes for drug trafficking in Tawau

An Indonesian man was sentenced to life imprisonment and 12 strokes of the cane by the Tawau High Court after being found guilty of trafficking 178.7 grams of methamphetamine. The offence took place in the waiting area of Tawau Ferry Terminal on 11 October 2024 as he was about to board a ferry to Nunukan, Indonesia.
