Penang festival moves to Tasek Gelugor after 50 years at Sungai Nibong

Pesta Pulau Pinang will return from December 1 to 31, but at a new venue, Padang Menora in Tasek Gelugor, after five decades at Sungai Nibong. Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the move follows the closure of the old site for the Mutiara Line LRT station and depot. The former grounds will be redeveloped under a transit-oriented masterplan.
