Melaka to vet new housing project prices before approval, says CM
Melaka's state government will require every new residential development to undergo a selling price valuation review by the Valuation and Property Services Department before it is implemented. Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh said the review, handled through the State Land Subdivision and Partition Committee, aims to keep prices reasonable and within buyers' reach. He said Melaka recorded 8,661 property transactions worth RM3.1 billion in the first six months of this year and aims for an 88 per cent home ownership rate by 2030.
