Hong Kong crypto exchange CoinEx to wind down as bitcoin slump deepens
Hong Kong-based crypto exchange CoinEx said on Tuesday it will cease operations and begin an orderly wind-down, citing a prolonged digital-asset downturn, shrinking trading volumes and rising regulatory requirements. Services taper from Sept 15, 2026, with withdrawals available until Dec 22, and the company says user assets remain fully backed.
