Five US sports leagues ask state regulators to ban abusive bettors for life
Five major US professional sports leagues and their players' associations have written to state gaming regulators asking them to permanently bar bettors who threaten or harass athletes, coaches and officials. The joint letter also seeks a standardised reporting system and reciprocal exclusion lists across states, after athletes reported hostile messages tied to player-proposition bets.
