Malaysia, India to review FTA within three to six months
Malaysian Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani met Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi to discuss reviewing the free trade agreement between the two countries. Malaysia recorded a trade surplus of RM25.37 billion with India in 2025, and India wants more balanced trade flows. Johari said his three-day visit also opened cooperation opportunities in the automotive and palm oil industries.
