JPN begins issuing new-generation MyKad with 53 security features

The National Registration Department began issuing a new-generation MyKad with 53 security features, up from 23, starting today at 40 JPN branches nationwide. Members of the public at JPN Putrajaya were excited to be among the first recipients, including those who came for routine matters such as changing a photo or making a first MyKad. The new card is issued the same day, though some were disappointed that the Touch 'n Go function is gone.
