Three MADA dams run low, Muda padi planting now depends on rain

Reservoir levels at three MADA dams stand at 35.76 per cent, with Muda Dam lowest at 11.88 per cent. MADA says padi planting for the 2/2026 season in the Muda area will rely entirely on rainfall, with El Nino odds projected at 96 per cent. Sowing for 99,489 hectares starts on 23 September.
