Noraini: Pepper industry must shift from output volume to quality

Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad said Malaysia's pepper industry must move from chasing higher output to producing quality, high-value products. Speaking at a pepper industry sustainability seminar at Dewan Masyarakat Spaoh in Betong, Sarawak, she cited a target of 750 hectares of new premium pepper planting and noted Betong's 5,070 pepper growers.
