It's up to you, parents: Sarawak minister says won't shut kindergarten, childcare centres even if API is over 200
Sarawak's Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, announced that kindergartens and childcare centres in the state will not be forced to close even if the Air Pollutant Index (API) exceeds 200. The decision on whether to close will be left to parents, who are urged to monitor the API readings and make their own judgments. The minister stated that the state government trusts parents to make the right decisions for their children's safety.
